Merry Christmas .

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year From JasmineDesign.

We are going to be taking a few days off for the Christmas Holidays until 2nd Jan, but customer technical support will still be available.

Week Starting .

Over the last few weeks we have been working on our DevOps story for our internal projects with regards to our build & deployment workflow, as well as our monitoring and log storage across windows & linux configs.

We are still looking at how we manage & backup the package management feeds we use across projects.

We are also looking at how Containers will feature in our internal & external projects going forward.

We have released our first ASP.NET Core Razor Pages site as part of our monitoring update, along with some serverless functions.

Our next internal project that gets under way this week will make use of Azure Functions as we push more towards a Serverless setup for some projects, as we see this as a great way to speed up our time to market for our solutions. We will release more information about this build very soon on the site.

Some of the topics above are going to feature heavily in our new site which is coming along nicely but we don't have a release date to share just yet.

Week Starting .

We have been moving more of our internal tooling and configuration to TypeScript, so that we can make the most of its great tooling and design time features which will save us time going forward.

We have started the process of building up product support around our custom built MinsterCMS, as well as adding support for ASP.NET Core & SQL 2017.

Our Node.js version and package updating has also been looked at closely to make sure that we act in the best way going forward with regards security and feature updates.

We have been looking at our Infrastructure to make sure we are not too dependant on any one supplier of cloud services and that we have a plan B lined up should we need it.

Also we have had a look at our back up methods and tested the restores onto new and old hardware, When was the last time you checked your back up restore features?

We have also been looking to make sure as much as possible of our Infrastructure is now Infrastructure as Code to allow us the fastest possible build and recovery times.

Lots of the topics above are going to feature heavily in our new site which is coming along nicely but we don't have a release date to share just yet.

Week Starting .

We have been working really hard over the last few weeks on some new prototypes, launching the GuestWeb site with its refreshed services range, which we hope to finish in the next few weeks as we add more content.

We have built a new monitoring system around our website range with built in log collection and analysis.

Testing on our new server deployment and configuration is really returning some great results, from ease of deployment, redeployment and with regards to page load. The next step along this path is to look again at the image optimisation methods available to us today.

As we have now been able to close out some ongoing projects, we are about to start on a total refresh for this site, with new and updated content along with a new look and feel which we will start to roll out in the next few weeks.

Week Starting .

We plan to take a few weeks away from updating the news page whilst we focus on project work and some major updates that we have underway.

Also over this time will be updating some of our sites to use CSS Grid, more on that in a later update.

The current plan is to return around mid June with the weekly updates, but we might return sooner if we have something exciting to share.

Week Starting .
